About the role

Join Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi to shape the future of AI‑driven aviation. As a Data Scientist AI you will design, build and operationalise machine‑learning and generative‑AI solutions that address critical business challenges and unlock new insights from large data sets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy and monitor machine‑learning and AI models that solve business‑critical problems.
• Translate business requirements into data‑science use cases, define success metrics and evaluation criteria.
• Analyze complex datasets to produce predictive models, decision‑support tools and actionable insights.
• Build and launch LLM‑powered, retrieval‑augmented and agentic AI applications for automation and knowledge management.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, production‑ready AI services integrated with enterprise platforms.
• Lead discovery workshops, stakeholder engagements and communicate outcomes through visual storytelling and executive presentations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data science or machine learning, including at least 2 years delivering production‑grade generative AI solutions.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple stakeholder expectations.

Required skills

• Strong Python programming skills.
• Hands‑on experience with machine‑learning frameworks such as Scikit‑learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Experience building and deploying LLM, RAG and agentic AI solutions using Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, LangChain or Semantic Kernel.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines, containerisation and API integration.
• Solid understanding of statistical modelling, predictive analytics and AI evaluation practices.
