Data Scientist – AI Economics Unit

About the role

Whiteshield Partners is looking for a Data Scientist to join its AI Economics Unit. You will apply AI and machine‑learning techniques to generate actionable insights for government agencies and private‑sector clients, reporting directly to the AI Economics Lead.

Key responsibilities

• Apply machine‑learning, econometrics and statistical techniques to large datasets for policy‑focused analysis.
• Clean, structure and transform diverse data sources, building robust data pipelines.
• Develop scripts, pipelines and dashboards to automate data workflows and improve efficiency.
• Present complex findings to senior officials, policymakers and business executives in a clear, actionable format.
• Leverage satellite imagery, geospatial AI and predictive analytics to evaluate infrastructure development and urban expansion.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months of professional experience in data science or a related field.
• Strong expertise in Python programming.
• Proven experience with AI, machine learning and large‑scale data sets.
• Ability to communicate technical results to non‑technical senior stakeholders.
