Data Scientist – Semantic Modeling & AI Enablement

About the role

We are partnering with a leading enterprise in Dubai to scale their data and AI capabilities. The role focuses on building semantic layers and data products that enable autonomous AI agents, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) and Generative AI applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise semantic data layers and data products for AI and analytics.
• Define and standardise business KPIs, metrics, dimensions, hierarchies and glossaries.
• Develop performant SQL‑based semantic views and reusable data assets using Databricks and PySpark.
• Support AI initiatives by providing structured, context‑rich data for GenAI and agentic AI.
• Integrate semantic models with enterprise data platforms and Oracle databases.
• Collaborate with data engineers and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable models.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in semantic, dimensional and relational data modelling.
• Hands‑on development experience with Databricks, PySpark, SQL and enterprise platforms.
• Experience building data layers specifically for AI agents, RAG and advanced analytics.
• Familiarity with Data Mesh and Data Product operating models.
• Background in Banking and Financial Services (BFSI) preferred.
