DDoS Specialist Emirati National

About the role

The DDoS Specialist will protect the organization’s digital assets by monitoring network traffic, detecting and mitigating distributed denial‑of‑service attacks in real time, and leading incident response activities. This full‑time position operates within a high‑availability Security Operations Center (SOC) and is open exclusively to Emirati nationals to strengthen national cyber‑defence capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily SOC/MSS operations, ensuring monitoring quality and SLA compliance.
• Lead containment, eradication, and recovery for DDoS and related security incidents.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting for anomalous traffic, botnet activity, and early attack indicators.
• Detect, triage, and escalate security incidents with speed and accuracy.
• Support forensic investigations and produce detailed root‑cause analysis documentation.
• Prepare and deliver incident summaries, dashboards, and customer communications.
• Oversee shift planning, workload distribution, and analyst readiness.
• Continuously improve SOC workflows, runbooks, and escalation procedures.

Required profile

• Emirati national with 3–6 years of hands‑on SOC/MSS, incident response, or DDoS mitigation experience.
• Strong understanding of volumetric, protocol, and application‑layer DDoS attack types.
• Proven ability to lead high‑pressure incident response scenarios.
• Excellent communication skills for customer‑facing reporting and escalation.

Required skills

• DDoS mitigation platforms such as Arbor, Radware, Cloudflare, Akamai, or F5.
• Traffic analysis, packet inspection, and anomaly detection.
• SIEM log analysis and monitoring technologies.
• Forensics evidence handling and RCA documentation.
• Network protocols, firewalls, routing, and load balancers.
