Demand Planning Lead – Repair & Maintenance

About the role
The Demand Planning Lead is accountable for developing, approving and maintaining accurate SKU and asset‑level forecasts across multiple product lines, including Managed Pressure Drilling, Drilling Services, Tubular Running Services, Wireline Services, Intervention Services and Drilling Tools. The role works closely with global GeoZones, Operations and Finance teams to ensure forecasts reflect the best available business insights and support material and financial planning.
Key responsibilities
- Track and analyse forecast variance and bias, continuously updating forecasts to improve accuracy.
- Develop new‑product forecasts in collaboration with cross‑functional teams, incorporating demand scenarios, ramp‑up profiles and service‑repair consumption assumptions.
- Identify best practices and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to raise demand‑planning maturity and global consistency.
- Balance supply and demand across product lines while monitoring repair capacity, asset availability and material readiness.
- Own demand and supply planning processes for assigned lines, managing KPIs such as forecast accuracy, fill rate, inventory turns and asset readiness.
- Lead governance of Make‑to‑Stock (MTS) and Make‑to‑Order (MTO) strategies, including classification logic and stocking levels.
- Integrate asset‑based demand‑planning methodologies (repair demand, utilization‑driven demand, cadence‑based planning) into forecasting.
- Develop and maintain Service BOMs and consumption models to improve demand signal quality and working‑capital efficiency.
- Drive inventory redeployment and network optimisation initiatives, including DC/BP balancing and repositioning strategies.
Required profile
- Minimum 60 months (5 years) of experience in demand planning, supply‑chain planning or related forecasting roles.
- Strong analytical capabilities with a proven track record of improving forecast accuracy.
- Experience working cross‑functionally with operations, finance and global teams.
- Ability to manage multiple product lines and complex inventory environments.
