About the role

The Demi Chef de Partie – Bakery supports the bakery team by preparing ingredients, cooking and assembling bakery items, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and quality in a fast‑paced hotel kitchen.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients, portion, chop, store, and wash fresh produce.
  • Measure, mix, and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
  • Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers, and test foods for doneness.
  • Prepare cold foods, set‑up and break‑down work stations, and serve portions onto appropriate receptacles.
  • Maintain cleanliness by washing and disinfecting kitchen areas, tools, knives and equipment, and checking appliance and food temperatures.

Required profile

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of related bakery or kitchen experience.
  • No supervisory experience required.
  • No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

  • Operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
  • Food preparation, portioning and mixing.
  • Adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
