Demi Chef de Partie - Banquets

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai, within its Banquets section, is looking for a Demi Chef de Partie. The role reports to the Chef de Partie and is responsible for contributing to dishes that meet the hotel's world-class standards of taste, presentation and food safety.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie in preparing and executing high-quality dishes and in mise en place.
• Follow ingredients and recipes precisely to maintain consistency and excellence.
• Monitor stock and inventory in your section, make timely requisitions and minimise waste.
• Collaborate with the team on developing new recipes.
• Support broader kitchen operations and cross-functional tasks as needed.
• Comply with health, food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP requirements and those mandated by the UAE Municipality.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; formal culinary training is an advantage.
• At least 2 years' experience as Demi Chef de Partie in a main kitchen or hot kitchen of a 5-star hotel or high-end restaurant.
• Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in banquet and main kitchen.
• Effective verbal and written English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
• Creativity, passion for cooking and a team-oriented mindset.
• Previous experience in hotel pre-opening or renovation projects is highly desirable.
