Demi Chef de Partie – Mediterranean Restaurant

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and passionate Demi Chef de Partie to join the culinary team at Josephine, the waterfront Mediterranean restaurant located in Rixos Premium Dubai, JBR. The role supports the Chef de Partie in preparing, cooking and presenting dishes while maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene and consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie with daily preparation and operation of the assigned kitchen section.
• Prepare ingredients, mise en place and dishes according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure food is prepared and presented consistently within required service times.
• Monitor freshness and quality of ingredients and follow proper storage, labeling, FIFO and rotation procedures.
• Support stock level monitoring and communicate shortages to the Chef de Partie.
• Guide and assist Commis Chefs as needed.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety, adhering to HACCP and company policies.
• Control food waste, maintain portion standards and support other sections during busy periods.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or experienced Commis Chef in a hotel, premium restaurant or similar environment.
• Good knowledge of basic and intermediate culinary techniques and food hygiene standards.
• Strong attention to quality and presentation, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Positive attitude, teamwork skills and willingness to learn and develop.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Culinary qualification or professional training is an advantage; luxury hospitality experience preferred.
