About the role

The Demi Chef de Partie supports the kitchen team by preparing special and regular meals, maintaining food quality, and ensuring smooth service during busy periods.

Key responsibilities

Prepare special meals, substitute items and cold foods following recipes and presentation standards.
Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters, and manage food thawing from freezer storage.
Maintain food logs, ensure proper portioning, arrangement and garnish, and monitor food quality and quantity.
Communicate with chefs and service staff about specials, out‑of‑stock items and excess food for daily specials.
Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling and employee coaching, and uphold safety and uniform standards.

Required profile

Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
At least 3 years of related culinary experience.
No prior supervisory experience required.

Required skills

Food preparation and cooking techniques.
Temperature control of kitchen equipment (ovens, broilers, grills, roasters).
Food safety and hygiene practices.
