Demi Chef de Partie – Pastry (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Demi Chef de Partie – Pastry to join the culinary team at JW Marriott Dubai. In this full‑time position you will support the Pastry Chef in preparing high‑quality desserts and baked goods for our guests, ensuring consistency with our brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook pastries, cold desserts and other bakery items following recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate oven, broiler, grill and roaster temperatures and monitor food quality and portioning.
• Thaw frozen items, maintain food logs and ensure proper storage and garnish of dishes.
• Communicate with service staff about menu specials, out‑of‑stock items and daily specials.
• Assist in inventory control by informing the Chef of excess items for special use.
• Adhere to health, safety and sanitation policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school qualification in culinary arts or pastry.
• Minimum three years of hands‑on experience in a pastry or bakery environment.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced kitchen and stand for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills and a professional appearance.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating ovens, broilers, grills and roasters.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain portion control.
