Deputy Head of Compliance and MLRO

About the role

Capital.com is expanding its global trading platform and seeks a Deputy Head of Compliance and MLRO to support the Head of Compliance. You will act as the deputy MLRO, oversee AML/CFT activities, and ensure regulatory compliance across the UAE operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the MLRO in reviewing internal suspicious activity reports, determining SAR/STR obligations, and maintaining related records.
• Support AML transaction monitoring, sanctions/PEP screening, and conduct investigations of alerts and adverse media hits.
• Provide client risk, KYC and due‑diligence support, including high‑risk onboarding and periodic reviews.
• Monitor compliance with SCA/CMA regulations, maintain compliance registers, and track regulatory developments.
• Prepare compliance reports, briefing materials for inspections, and assist the Head of Compliance with remediation and risk assessments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in compliance and AML/CFT within a regulated financial services environment.
• Working knowledge of UAE financial services regulations, especially SCA/CMA requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to review suspicious activity, transaction monitoring alerts, sanctions and PEP screening results.
• Strong analytical, drafting and communication skills, with the confidence to advise stakeholders.
