Deputy HR Manager – HR Operations (Pharma & Med Devices)

About the role

The Deputy HR Manager / HR Operations Manager will oversee the day‑to‑day delivery of core HR functions across the Group’s pharmaceutical and medical‑device businesses. Reporting to the HR Manager, the role ensures consistent service standards, timely execution, and effective coordination among HR functional leads.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of recruitment, onboarding, performance management, learning & development, benefits administration and HR administration.
• Provide direction and support to functional leads, monitor actions, deadlines and escalations, and act as the first escalation point for routine matters.
• Review and approve routine HR requests within delegated authority, ensuring compliance with policies, budgets and salary structures.
• Coordinate with the Employee Relations & Payroll Manager on cross‑functional cases and ensure seamless collaboration.
• Drive process improvement, automation and HR digitalisation to reduce manual bottlenecks.
• Prepare regular operational reports and dashboards, tracking KPIs such as recruitment turnaround, onboarding quality, performance completion and benefits service levels.
• Manage, coach and develop the assigned HR functional leads, fostering accountability and high‑quality service delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
• Significant experience managing routine HR operations across multiple functions, preferably in a pharmaceutical or medical‑device environment.
• Proven ability to work independently, resolve operational issues and escalate only high‑risk or strategic matters.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on collaboration and service excellence.
