Deputy Manager – Quality (QA – Project)

About the role

Petrofac is seeking a Deputy Manager – Quality (QA – Project) to lead construction quality initiatives for its energy infrastructure projects in Sharjah. You will ensure that all contract requirements are met through robust quality planning, implementation, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, implement, and maintain the Construction Quality Plan aligned with contract specifications.
• Develop and manage the Construction Quality Assurance program and audit schedule, covering subcontractor activities such as cleanliness, welding, and preservation.
• Support the Site QC Manager in resolving QMS coordination and technical issues related to ISO 9001, ISO 29001, and other certifications.
• Review and approve subcontractor QA deliverables and monitor project audit performance.
• Identify quality trends, recommend corrective actions, and oversee their implementation.
• Conduct inductions, trainings, and toolbox talks on the project QMS for all personnel and subcontractors.
• Handle customer feedback, monitor satisfaction ratings, and drive improvements.
• Organise and execute internal audits, prepare audit plans, and coordinate audit reports.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in construction quality management within the energy or industrial sector.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 29001 standards.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage multiple quality initiatives simultaneously.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
