Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer – UAE

About the role

PayerMax, a global payment platform focused on emerging markets, is seeking a Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer to support its UAE financial services entity based in Dubai. The role works closely with the MLRO to ensure the firm complies with local and international AML/CFT requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support the MLRO in implementing and maintaining the AML/CFT framework, policies and procedures in line with CBUAE rules, UAE federal legislation and global best practice.
• Assist in reviewing, escalating and preparing Suspicious Transaction Reports for submission to the UAE FIU.
• Conduct ongoing monitoring of transactions and customer profiles using internal monitoring systems and rule‑based alerts.
• Support customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, sanctions screening and risk assessment processes.
• Participate in enterprise‑wide ML/TF risk assessments and regulatory reporting.
• Contribute to compliance reviews, thematic monitoring and internal audits.
• Help deliver staff training on AML/CFT, sanctions and financial crime prevention.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in AML/CFT compliance, preferably within a financial services or payments environment.
• Strong knowledge of UAE AML regulations, CBUAE AML Rulebook and international AML standards.
• Ability to analyse transaction data, identify suspicious activity and prepare clear reports.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
