Deputy Security Manager

About the role

The Deputy Security Manager will support the Security Manager in delivering safe and secure operations for the Hail & Ghasha project in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi. This position ensures that all security activities comply with company policies, contractual obligations and local regulations, and steps in to lead the security function when the Security Manager is absent.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Security Manager in developing, implementing and maintaining security procedures, plans and controls.
• Supervise daily security operations, including access control, site protection and movement control.
• Coordinate and monitor security subcontractors and guard services to ensure contractual compliance.
• Manage security incidents, investigations and emergency situations, ensuring proper escalation and reporting.
• Conduct security risk assessments and recommend mitigation measures.
• Promote security awareness and compliance among project personnel.
• Liaise with site management, HSE teams and relevant authorities.
• Prepare security reports, incident logs and operational updates.

Required profile

• University degree in Security Management, Risk Management, Management or a related discipline (preferred).
• Professional security certifications are an advantage.
• Minimum 18 years of experience in security roles within EPC, oil & gas or large industrial projects.
• Previous experience as Deputy Security Manager, Security Supervisor or Senior Security Coordinator.
• Strong leadership, judgment and decision‑making under pressure.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
