Design Electrical Engineer – Dubai (Water Treatment)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Design Electrical Engineer to join our Dubai team, focusing on water and wastewater treatment projects. The role involves creating and reviewing electrical designs, preparing technical submittals and test documentation, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and prepare electrical technical submittals such as single line diagrams, schematic diagrams for panels (MCC, MDB, SMDB, DB), BOQs, cable sizing, cable lists, load schedules, layouts, lighting, small power, earthing & lightning systems, and shop drawings.
• Prepare all electrical test forms including FAT, SAT, Megger Test, continuity and loop test, functional test, and earthing test.
• Develop the electrical section of the Operation and Maintenance Manual (OMM).
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, instrumentation, automation, and drafting teams to ensure integrated electrical designs.
• Support proposal, production, and operation teams with technical expertise and manage RFQs, supplier negotiations, and technical meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in electrical design engineering, preferably in water treatment or similar industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, design standards, and testing procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Preparation of single line diagrams and schematic panel drawings.
• Cable sizing, cable list generation, and load schedule development.
• Electrical shop drawing production.
• Execution of FAT, SAT, Megger, continuity, loop, functional, and earthing tests.
• Creation of the electrical section of OMMs and technical submittals.
