Design Engineer - Aerospace Fixtures

About the role

Eight Technic MRO Services designs and manufactures precision fixtures and tooling for the aviation and aerospace sector. We are seeking a Design Engineer who lives in the UAE, is fluent in Fusion 360, and can take concepts through to production‑ready fixtures quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Design fixtures, jigs and tooling using Fusion 360, including parts, assemblies and detailed 2‑D drawings.
• Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles from the earliest sketch.
• Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials, cost estimates and procurement data.
• Produce manufacturing‑ready drawings with GD&T, tolerances, surface finishes and notes.
• Prototype, build and iterate designs on the shop floor, collaborating with machinists, assemblers and procurement.
• Manage revisions, engineering change orders (ECOs) and version control across projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of mechanical design experience using Fusion 360.
• Strong understanding of machining, sheet‑metal, weldments and fastening practices.
• Proficiency in GD&T and ability to generate complete BOMs and cost estimates.
• Fluent technical communication in English, both written and spoken.
