Design Manager – Real Estate Development

About the role

The Design Manager will lead the design function for Expo City Dubai’s large‑scale real‑estate projects, ensuring that all architectural and urban‑design solutions meet the master‑plan vision, regulatory codes and quality standards. Reporting to senior design leadership, the role coordinates across multidisciplinary teams to deliver fully integrated design packages from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop project briefs, scopes of work and tender documents for design consultant contracts.
• Oversee the selection, onboarding and performance of design consultants, ensuring delivery of coordinated design packages.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, security and other programme design representatives to provide integrated solutions.
• Manage day‑to‑day progress reporting, code compliance, design strategies and regular status reports.
• Lead coordination meetings, technical reviews of design submissions and ensure alignment across all disciplines.
• Produce non‑standard reports, presentations and graphic documentation, including detailed drawings and visualisations.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in architecture and urban design, covering all project phases from concept to completion.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Urban Design, Engineering, Landscape Architecture or a related field.
• Proven project‑management expertise with ability to deliver projects on time and within scope.
• Strong creative vision and attention to detail for both technical and artistic design solutions.

Required skills

• AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks.
• Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) and graphic presentation tools.
• Microsoft Office Suite.
• Urban design and architectural design software proficiency.
