Director, Business Banking – Trade Working Capital

About the role

The Director of Business Banking – Trade Working Capital will lead the bank’s SME and mid‑market portfolio, driving sales, risk management and profitability while supporting the growth of domestic and international businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deepen relationships with existing corporate clients, increasing sales volume, market share and utilization of approved credit limits.
• Prepare and analyse credit applications, assess financial and business risks, and ensure compliance with FAB policies and regulatory frameworks.
• Monitor portfolio performance, manage profitability, and regularly review MIS reports for trade working capital and FX revenues.
• Coordinate with credit, FX and trade teams to structure competitive financing solutions that meet client needs.
• Ensure high‑quality customer service by overseeing processing times, handling escalations and maintaining service level standards.
• Support internal audit, risk management and anti‑money‑laundering activities, addressing gaps and responding to audit findings.

Required profile

• University degree (MBA, PGDM, CA, CFA or equivalent) with 5‑8 years of banking experience, including at least 4 years in a managerial Business Banking role.
• Demonstrated expertise in Trade Working Capital and strong understanding of financial statement analysis, due diligence and risk assessment.
• In‑depth knowledge of Trade Finance, Real Estate Finance products and SME banking regulations.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building lasting client relationships.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills across senior‑level stakeholders.
