Director, Business Banking – Trade Working Capital

About the role

The Director, Business Banking – Trade Working Capital will lead the bank’s efforts to serve SME and mid‑market clients in Dubai, focusing on trade‑related financing and working‑capital solutions. The role involves developing relationships, driving sales, and ensuring risk‑adjusted profitability. The incumbent will also mentor the team and align offerings with FAB’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Deepen relationships with existing corporate clients and expand market share in the target segment.
• Generate new loan volumes by structuring and pricing trade working‑capital facilities that meet client needs.
• Prepare and review credit applications, conduct financial analysis, and ensure compliance with FAB policies and regulatory standards.
• Monitor portfolio performance, manage risk indicators, and take proactive actions on early warning signs.
• Coordinate with GTx, FX, and other product teams to deliver integrated solutions and cross‑sell opportunities.
• Track utilization of approved limits and drive revenue growth through effective limit management.

Required profile

• University degree; MBA, PGDM, CA, CFA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• 5–8 years of banking experience, with at least 4 years in a senior Business Banking role.
• Proven track record in Trade Working Capital and experience in Trade Finance and Real Estate Finance products.
• Strong ability to analyse financial statements, conduct due diligence and assess credit risk.
• Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and building long‑term client relationships.
