Director, Campus Physical Development and Services

About the role

The Director of Campus Physical Development and Services provides overall leadership for the university’s facilities management, development projects, and campus services. This senior role ensures efficient operation of the campus, oversees large‑scale construction and renovation projects, and drives sustainability initiatives across the institution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and execution of large university projects in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and other locations.
• Develop and update campus master plans, facility plans and contribute to capital budgeting.
• Oversee construction, renovation, security, soft services and MEP maintenance through the Facilities Project Manager.
• Manage the CPDS budget, ensuring timely and cost‑effective utilization of resources.
• Implement sustainability strategies to achieve carbon‑neutral campuses and champion green building standards.
• Develop policies and procedures to guarantee safe, efficient and high‑quality operations of all campus facilities and services.
• Represent the department within the university’s management structure and external stakeholder engagements.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in university or large‑scale campus facilities management.
• Strong background in strategic planning, capital budgeting and large‑project delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to drive sustainability and environmentally responsible design.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
