Director – Compliance Officer & Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO)

About the role

The Director – Compliance Officer & MLRO will lead regulatory compliance and anti‑money‑laundering (AML) efforts for JTC Governance Solutions and JTC Institutional Fiduciary in the DIFC. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure that all UAE entities meet local AML/CFT laws and international best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, update and oversee AML policies, manuals and procedures for UAE operations.
• Investigate and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and maintain a SAR register.
• Act as the primary liaison with the DFSA, UAE FIU and other regulatory bodies.
• Lead and coordinate the Risk & Compliance teams in Singapore and Mauritius.
• Conduct risk and compliance meetings with senior management across the AMEA region.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports and ensure ongoing adherence to all applicable laws.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in compliance, AML/CFT and risk management within financial services.
• Proven ability to work with senior executives and regulatory authorities.
• Strong understanding of UAE financial regulations, DFSA requirements and international AML standards.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of AML/CFT legislation and reporting obligations.
• Experience drafting and maintaining compliance manuals and policies.
• Ability to conduct investigations and prepare SARs.
