Director, Corporate Origination & Business Development (UAE)

About the role

We are seeking a senior leader to drive corporate origination and business development for our UAE Corporate & Investment Banking Group. The role will focus on prospecting, acquiring and managing large corporate relationships, and delivering tailored banking solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prospect and onboard new corporate borrowing relationships across Large Corporates and the Middle Market (revenues AED 250MM‑1BN).
• Develop and execute proposition strategies, competition analysis, and targeted campaigns in collaboration with product, risk and retail banking teams.
• Own the full credit process from proposal preparation through approval, documentation and client onboarding.
• Maintain and grow a network of business introducers and referral partners within the local professional community.
• Track deal flow, prepare business reports and ensure compliance with credit, operational, financial crime and regulatory risk policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of banking experience in business development, credit and client relationship management, including at least 2 years in a similar senior role in the UAE.
• University degree in business, finance or a related discipline.
• Strong commercial orientation, networking and leadership abilities.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and deliver results independently.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with web content management and analytics tools.
• Solid credit analysis capabilities.
