Director, Government & Public Sector

About the role

The Director, Government & Public Sector will support the growth and management of investment banking relationships with UAE government entities. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality service, meeting revenue targets, and maintaining client satisfaction and portfolio credit quality.

Key responsibilities

• Implement CIB policies, procedures and controls to ensure compliance and cost‑effective service delivery.
• Conduct financial analysis of clients and their industries to identify opportunities and risks.
• Collaborate with Managing Directors and Executive Directors to originate new business across banking products.
• Develop term sheets, information memorandums and financial models.
• Assess and resolve credit, market and operational risk aspects of transactions.
• Participate in pitching, negotiation and deal closure.
• Achieve team financial performance targets and increase cross‑selling ratios.
• Maintain account plans, client documentation and timely credit reviews.
• Ensure KYC and AML compliance in line with bank policies and regulations.
• Prepare accurate statements and reports for the unit.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of investment banking experience.
• Strong knowledge of the banking sector and FAB’s products and strategies.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Master’s degree in business administration is preferred.
