Director of Contracts – Mixed Use Developments

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Director of Contracts to lead contract strategy, commercial risk management, and contractual governance across a portfolio of large‑scale mixed‑use development projects. The role oversees negotiations, dispute avoidance, procurement support and contract administration while heading a high‑performing contracts function.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the contracts function across multiple development and construction projects.
• Develop and implement contract management strategies that protect commercial and business interests.
• Negotiate with contractors, consultants and key stakeholders, and review, draft and amend contracts to ensure appropriate risk allocation.
• Advise senior leadership on contractual matters, commercial exposures and mitigation strategies.
• Oversee claims management, dispute avoidance and resolution processes throughout the project portfolio.
• Support procurement and tendering teams during contractor selection and contract award activities.
• Ensure effective contract administration post‑award and throughout project execution.
• Lead, mentor and develop a specialist contracts team, promoting best practice across the business.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Law, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in contract management within large‑scale real estate, infrastructure or development environments.
• Strong expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, commercial risk assessment and contract administration.
• Proven track record managing claims, disputes, contractual correspondence and complex stakeholder relationships.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and supporting multiple high‑value projects simultaneously.

What we offer

• Competitive annual salary ranging from AED 540,000 to AED 650,000.
• Permanent position based in Dubai within the property industry.
