Director of Corporate Origination & Business Development

About the role

The Director of Corporate Origination and Business Development will drive the acquisition of new corporate clients for Mashreq Bank, focusing on large corporates and the middle‑market segment. This senior position combines business development, credit underwriting and relationship management to expand the bank’s portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect, identify and onboard new corporate borrowing relationships with annual revenues between AED 250 million and AED 1 billion.
• Develop and execute proposition strategies, competition analysis, and targeted campaigns across products such as risk, payments, trade and cash management.
• Own the full credit process from proposal preparation to approval, documentation and onboarding while ensuring compliance with risk and regulatory policies.
• Collaborate with product, risk and coverage teams to create cross‑sell opportunities and tailor innovative solutions for client needs.
• Maintain a network of business introducers, monitor deal flow, and produce timely business reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of banking experience in business development, credit and relationship management, with at least 2 years in a similar senior role in the UAE.
• University degree in business, finance or a related field.
• Strong commercial orientation, independent mindset and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent networking, leadership and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficient use of MS Office.
• Experience with web content management and analytics tools.
• Solid credit analysis capabilities and knowledge of corporate banking products.
