Director of Curriculum

About the role

GEMS Education is seeking a Director of Curriculum to join the leadership team of its School of Research and Innovation. This senior position will shape the curriculum, teaching, learning and assessment strategy across the Pre‑Prep to Sixth Form pathway, leveraging cutting‑edge technologies such as AI, robotics, VR/AR and Web3.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of an ambitious, future‑focused curriculum.
• Collaborate with the Principal, Senior Leadership Team and Lead Practitioners to ensure alignment with school vision and standards.
• Integrate emerging technologies (AI, robotics, drones, esports) into learning experiences.
• Oversee quality assurance, assessment frameworks and data‑driven evaluation of student outcomes.
• Drive professional development programmes for teachers to adopt innovative pedagogies.
• Manage curriculum pathways for GCSEs, A‑levels and specialised programmes, including industry‑linked projects.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in curriculum design and development within an international school setting.
• Deep understanding of project‑based learning, contemporary educational research and effective pedagogy.
• Ability to champion innovative learning approaches and quality assurance processes.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills to work with diverse academic and operational teams.
