Director of Learning and Development

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Director of Learning & Development to transform how our luxury hospitality team learns, grows and performs. This role goes beyond traditional classroom training, focusing on culture building, strategic learning design, and delivering measurable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive Learning & Development strategy aligned with business objectives, guest experience goals, and employer branding.
• Leverage learning analytics, operational KPIs, and guest satisfaction data to identify capability gaps and drive performance improvements.
• Champion organizational culture, designing initiatives that enhance engagement, inclusivity, recognition and wellbeing.
• Lead luxury service training programs, conduct service observations, coaching sessions and culture audits to achieve Forbes Travel Guide standards.
• Create development pathways for leaders, manage succession planning, mentoring and talent acceleration.
• Introduce innovative learning experiences such as micro‑learning, gamification, interactive workshops, digital platforms and AI‑assisted solutions.
• Build dashboards and analytics to measure learning effectiveness, promotion rates, retention, engagement and impact on guest satisfaction.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and delivering learning strategies in a high‑performance, service‑focused environment.
• Strong commercial mindset with ability to link learning initiatives to business outcomes.
• Data‑driven decision maker comfortable using analytics to demonstrate ROI.
• Creative culture‑builder and strategic thinker who can inspire and influence senior leadership.
