Director of Public Policy (Remote)

About the role

Ethos is seeking an experienced Director of Public Policy to help train a cutting‑edge language model on professional document, spreadsheet, and slide deck tasks. The role is fully remote, flexible, and involves 5‑20 hours per week (or more) working on AI‑generated policy materials.

Key responsibilities

• Create, evaluate, and refine AI‑generated policy briefing memos, inter‑agency coordination reports, and program status updates.
• Develop rulemaking public comment response summaries, grant compliance packages, constituent correspondence logs, and appropriations request narratives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in government agency operations, public administration, or policy implementation.
• Direct ownership of policy briefing memos and grant compliance packages with strong command of public‑sector writing conventions.
