Director of Sales – Luxury Hotel Pre-Opening

About the role

Lead the commercial vision for the pre‑opening and launch of Gran Meliá Dubai Jumeirah, a new luxury hotel slated to open in 2027. As a strategic partner to the General Manager and Executive Committee, you will define market positioning, build key partnerships and drive revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the sales strategy for pre‑opening and ongoing operations, aligned with brand positioning.
• Lead all sales and marketing activities across luxury leisure, corporate, MICE, high‑end and strategic accounts.
• Build and manage key local, regional and international luxury accounts.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management on pricing, positioning and demand strategies.
• Represent the hotel at luxury trade fairs, sales events and industry platforms.
• Lead, develop and inspire a high‑performing sales team.
• Own the sales budget, forecasts and commercial planning.

Required profile

• Extensive experience as Director of Sales or senior commercial leader in luxury hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of the Dubai/UAE market with established B2B, corporate and MICE networks.
• Pre‑opening hotel experience is a strong advantage.
• Strategic, hands‑on sales leader with excellent negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
• Fluent in English; Arabic beneficial but not mandatory.
• Degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Business or related field.
