Director of Technical Compliance, QA & QC

About the role

The Director of Technical Compliance, Quality Assurance & Quality Control leads Miral’s independent technical assurance and quality governance across its portfolio of theme parks, attractions and mixed‑use developments. Reporting to the Chief Portfolio Officer, the role defines enterprise‑wide compliance frameworks and ensures projects meet design intent, safety, durability and guest‑experience standards.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead an enterprise‑wide Technical Compliance and QA/QC framework, standards and assurance processes.
• Provide independent oversight of design, construction, testing, commissioning and handover, reporting material quality risks to senior leadership.
• Conduct technical assurance reviews at key design gateways and challenge deviations that could impact safety or operability.
• Oversee risk‑based audits, inspections and technical reviews of contractors, suppliers and specialist vendors.
• Manage non‑conformances, technical deviations and corrective actions through structured root‑cause analysis.
• Ensure assets meet performance, quality and compliance standards before opening and monitor warranty‑period defects.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in technical compliance, quality assurance and quality control within large‑scale construction or themed‑entertainment projects.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence consultants, contractors and vendors.
• Strong analytical mindset with expertise in risk‑based assurance and root‑cause problem solving.
• Excellent communication skills to report findings and recommendations to senior executives.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of applicable codes, standards and contractual obligations.
• Experience with quality management systems, non‑conformance handling and corrective‑action processes.
• Ability to develop and enforce technical standards, inspection protocols and assurance gateways.
