Director, Private Banking

About the role

The Director of Private Banking will lead the development of business across diverse markets, serving ultra‑high‑net‑worth (UHNWI) and high‑net‑worth (HNWI) clients both on‑shore and off‑shore. The role is responsible for achieving revenue and AUM targets, expanding market share, and delivering a premium level of service and investment solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and grow a portfolio of UHNWI/HNWI clients, providing personalized banking, fiduciary and portfolio‑management services.
• Identify and segment target markets, develop new business through referrals, contacts and marketing initiatives.
• Coordinate cross‑selling of Private Banking products across FAB’s global network and promote offshore and on‑shore solutions.
• Lead end‑to‑end projects, liaise with relationship managers, middle‑office and back‑office teams.
• Ensure compliance with AML, OFAC and KYC standards, performing full due‑diligence on prospects.

Required profile

• In‑depth knowledge of FAB policies, AML, OFAC and KYC requirements for international private banking.
• Strong understanding of the three pillars of private banking: banking, fiduciary structures and portfolio management.
• Experience with offshore jurisdictions such as Switzerland, UK, US, Jersey, Cayman, BVI and UAE free zones.
• Minimum five years of private banking experience, with a proven track record in relationship management and business development.
• Excellent written and spoken English and ability to work independently while building long‑term client relationships.

• KYC procedures and due‑diligence capabilities.
• Comprehensive private banking product knowledge (banking, fiduciary, portfolio management).
• Understanding of offshore jurisdiction regulations and structures.
