Director Private Banking - NRI

About the role

First Abu Dhabi Bank is seeking a Director for its Private Banking NRI segment. The role will lead the development of business across offshore and on‑shore locations, targeting ultra‑high‑net‑worth (UHNWI) and high‑net‑worth (HNWI) clients in the NRI market. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing assets under management (AUM) and market share while delivering premium service.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage a portfolio of UHNWI and HNWI clients, providing tailored banking, fiduciary and portfolio‑management solutions.
• Identify and segment target markets, generate new business through referrals, contacts and marketing initiatives.
• Lead end‑to‑end projects, coordinating with internal teams and global relationship managers.
• Promote cross‑selling opportunities across FAB’s Gulf and international branches for the NRI segment.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with decision‑makers, turning them into sources of referrals.
• Proactively initiate sales, market and product development initiatives.
• Collaborate on product development and marketing for private banking services.

Required profile

• Proven “hunting” and “farming” capabilities with a track record of delivering AUM and revenue growth.
• Extensive experience managing high‑profile client relationships in private banking or wealth management.
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to generate referrals and new business.
• Ability to work across multiple jurisdictions and coordinate globally.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on market share expansion in the NRI segment.
