Director, Strategic Accounts – UAE & Oman

About the role

Wood Mackenzie is seeking a commercially‑driven Director to lead its Strategic Accounts business across the UAE and Oman. The role will grow the consulting footprint with government entities, national oil companies and other key public‑sector clients while leading the local consulting team.

Key responsibilities

• Own the client relationship for strategic government and NOC accounts, acting as the primary Wood Mackenzie lead for organisations such as ADNOC, OQ and IGC.
• Develop and execute account strategies to increase revenue, influence and market presence across the UAE and Oman.
• Lead the origination, structuring and commercial negotiation of major consulting engagements, ensuring delivery meets Wood Mackenzie’s standards.
• Manage and mentor the UAE consulting team, fostering a high‑performing, collaborative culture.
• Represent Wood Mackenzie in industry forums, government events and regional thought‑leadership platforms.

Required profile

• 12+ years of consulting, strategy or leadership experience in the energy or natural resources sectors, with a proven record of selling consulting projects in the Middle East.
• Deep knowledge of UAE and broader Middle‑East government procurement processes and key public‑sector stakeholders.
• Strong commercial acumen with a history of meeting sales targets and closing deals of $500 K or more.
• Fluent English (Arabic optional) and a well‑developed network of decision‑makers in the public sector and national companies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, coach junior talent and represent the firm credibly in high‑stakes client interactions.
