Director, Technical Compliance

About the role

The Director, Technical Compliance leads the Technical Compliance team within the Portfolio function, ensuring that all design and construction projects meet rigorous QA/QC standards and obtain required authority approvals. The role operates in a fast‑paced hospitality and leisure environment, bridging the Development Design Department and Project Delivery teams.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain robust QA/QC policies and procedures for design and construction phases.
• Coordinate technical compliance reviews during final design stages (RIBA 3 and 4) across all major disciplines.
• Oversee on‑site construction and installation works from a QA/QC perspective.
• Provide technical support to Asset/Facility Management for energy‑saving and optimisation initiatives.
• Ensure all necessary permits and licences for infrastructure, real estate and themed projects are secured.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and lessons‑learned across design teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 180 months (15 years) of experience in technical compliance, design, and construction.
• Strong technical expertise in multiple engineering and architectural disciplines.
• Proven ability to influence design decisions and manage complex projects simultaneously.
• High integrity and excellent project/organizational management skills.
