Dispatcher – Truck & Fleet Coordination

About the role

The Dispatcher is responsible for planning and coordinating daily truck movements to ensure petroleum product deliveries are completed safely and on time. Working on a 12‑hour shift, you will liaise with drivers, suppliers, clients and terminal operators while overseeing fleet upkeep and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan daily delivery trips and assign trucks and drivers according to the delivery schedule.
• Coordinate with drivers before, during, and after each trip to ensure timely deliveries.
• Arrange loading appointments with suppliers and discharge schedules with clients.
• Track truck movements, monitor delays and resolve issues on‑the‑road.
• Calculate, verify and process driver trip allowances.
• Ensure drivers follow company procedures, documentation requirements and traffic regulations.
• Work with terminal operators to schedule loading and discharging slots and oversee tanker loading/unloading.
• Manage fleet maintenance by scheduling repairs and preventive maintenance with the mechanic.
• Handle vehicle registration renewals with the RTA and keep all permits and inspections up to date.
• Monitor traffic fines, report them and follow up on corrective actions.

Required profile

• At least 60 months (5 years) of experience in dispatch, fleet management or related logistics functions.
• Knowledge of UAE traffic regulations and RTA vehicle registration processes.
• Ability to work 12‑hour shifts and manage high‑pressure situations.
