Documentation Head – Logistics & Freight Documentation

About the role

DEOW International is looking for an experienced Documentation Head to lead its logistics and freight forwarding documentation operations in JAFZA, Dubai. The role focuses on managing import and export documentation, ensuring compliance with UAE customs regulations, and coordinating with various stakeholders to maintain smooth shipping processes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end import and export documentation workflows within JAFZA frameworks.
• Review, verify, and archive bills of lading, bills of entry, commercial invoices, certificates of origin, and packing lists.
• Coordinate with customs authorities, port officials, shipping lines, and freight forwarders to facilitate clearances.
• Monitor documentation accuracy to prevent delays, penalties, or operational bottlenecks.
• Lead and supervise the documentation team while optimizing record‑keeping and compliance tracking.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in logistics, shipping, freight forwarding, and import/export documentation.
• Mandatory operational experience within JAFZA.
• Proven knowledge of UAE customs clearance procedures and tariff structures.
• Immediate availability and ability to work onsite in Dubai.
