Dog Handler – Grooming & Care

About the role

Howler Pets is a comprehensive dog services hub in Al Ain, offering training, hydrotherapy, medical care, and adoption programmes. We are seeking a confident, calm Dog Handler with grooming experience to work hands‑on with dogs across our facility, ensuring they are safe, well‑cared for, and looking their best.

Key responsibilities

• Handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments safely throughout training, boarding, and rehabilitation areas.
• Provide grooming services including bathing, brushing, coat conditioning, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and breed‑specific clipping.
• Monitor dog behaviour and flag health or behavioural concerns to trainers, rehab staff, or the medical team.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable kennel and grooming environment.
• Support trainers, hydrotherapy practitioners, and the Medical Care Unit as needed.
• Assist with daily routines such as feeding, exercising, and supervising dogs.
• Help with intake and handover of dogs arriving for training, boarding, or post‑surgical recovery.
• Contribute to the working adoptions programme and welfare initiatives.

Required profile

• Confident and calm handler comfortable with dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
• Hands‑on grooming experience covering bathing, brushing, clipping, nail trimming, and basic coat care.
• Solid understanding of dog behaviour and body language.
• Willingness to work in a kennel and boarding environment.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Genuine animal‑welfare mindset.
