Door Ambassador - Luxury Resort

About the role

The InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa, a luxury beachfront resort on Hayat Island less than an hour from Dubai, is looking for a Door Ambassador to join its Front Office team. The role creates the welcoming first and last impressions for every guest, keeping the entrance area professional, warm and in line with service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests on arrival and departure, recognising returning guests, VIPs and IHG One Rewards members.
• Maintain a professional presence at the main entrance and ensure a smooth flow of arrivals and departures.
• Assist guests with luggage, transportation arrangements and directions, working closely with Bell Service and Concierge.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests.
• Provide accurate information on resort facilities, dining, activities, local attractions and transport.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Concierge, Bell Service, Security and other departments.
• Support Bell Service operations such as luggage handling and message delivery.
• Keep the entrance area clean, organised and welcoming.

Required profile

• High school diploma or vocational qualification in Hospitality, Hotel Management or a related field.
• At least 1 year of guest services experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
• Previous experience as a Door Ambassador, Doorman, Bell Attendant or similar guest-facing role is an advantage.
• Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Physically fit, able to stand for long periods and assist with luggage.
• Flexible to work different shifts, including weekends, evenings and public holidays.
