DP Business Management Teacher (Start Aug 2026)

About the role

GEMS World Academy Dubai is seeking a passionate DP Business Management teacher to join its Business department from August 2026. The role involves delivering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme to a diverse, non‑selective student body and contributing to the school’s culture of inquiry and community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess Business Management lessons in line with the IB DP framework.
• Use data‑driven approaches to monitor student progress and adapt instruction.
• Collaborate with department colleagues to develop curriculum and share best practices.
• Provide personalised support and mentorship to students, fostering a love of learning.
• Participate in school-wide initiatives, extracurricular activities and professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Education or a relevant degree plus a teaching qualification (PGCE, PGDE or equivalent).
• Minimum three years of secondary Business teaching experience, preferably within an IB environment.
• Strong understanding of the IB DP framework and Approaches to Teaching.
• Commitment to the IB Learner Profile values and to working in a culturally diverse community.
• Desire for continuous professional improvement.

Required skills

• Effective classroom management and instructional techniques.
• Ability to design engaging, inquiry‑based Business lessons.
• Proficiency in using assessment data to inform teaching.
