Duty Manager – Airport Security & Crisis Management

About the role

The Duty Manager ECD Center is responsible for overseeing airport security, crisis management and operational support. Acting as the main liaison with government authorities, airlines and other stakeholders, the role ensures compliance with aviation security regulations and coordinates responses to emergencies and irregular operations.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary liaison with governmental bodies such as the ICP, National Guard, law‑enforcement and regulatory agencies.
• Manage AVSEC activities including airport passes, official correspondence and handling inadmissible or no‑show passengers.
• Review security documents for compliance with AVSEC policies and GCAA directives.
• Facilitate VIP movements, official delegations, repatriation missions and special visits.
• Coordinate with operational teams on medical emergencies, security incidents and irregular passenger movements.
• Lead crisis operations, act as focal point for the Abu Dhabi Crisis Management Centre and support all phases of crisis management.
• Participate in drills, simulations and post‑incident reviews to improve readiness.
• Manage public health alerts, disease outbreak responses and health‑related passenger incidents.
• Maintain records of incidents, prepare reports and monitor compliance with safety and crisis protocols.

Required profile

• Proven experience in airport security, AVSEC procedures or related security operations.
• Demonstrated ability to work with government authorities and regulatory bodies.
• Strong organisational and communication skills for coordinating multi‑agency responses.
• Experience in crisis management, emergency response and public health incident handling.
