Duty Manager – Hotel Front Office

About the role
The Duty Manager will oversee front office operations at Sofitel Dubai the Obelisk, ensuring guests receive prompt, cordial attention and personal recognition. Reporting to the Front Office Manager, the role supports occupancy optimisation, revenue management and seamless inter‑departmental service.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and supervise front office staff to deliver high‑quality guest service.
- Control room availability, rate categories and maximise occupancy and average rate.
- Liaise with Housekeeping to guarantee the “Room Ready on Arrival” policy.
- Approve upgrades, special amenities and handle VIP guest recognition.
- Prepare work schedules, monitor staff conduct and collaborate with HR and Finance on performance and budgeting.
- Interpret system reports, ensure credit procedures are followed and maintain OH&S compliance.
Required profile
- Strong knowledge of Opera Property Management System and Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) and familiar with local culture.
