Duty Manager – Luxury Resort in Ajman

About the role

The Duty Manager ensures smooth front‑desk operations at Ajman Saray, a Luxury Collection resort, delivering exceptional guest service and overseeing daily financial procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Process all guest check‑ins, verify identity, payment method, assign rooms and issue keys.
• Set up accurate guest accounts, enter Marriott Rewards information and ensure correct rates.
• Supply guests with directions, property information and respond to special requests, following up to confirm completion.
• Handle all payment types, vouchers, paid‑outs and charges, balance receipts and perform bank drops at shift start and end.
• Complete cashier, closing and daily reports, and maintain accurate logs and contingency lists.
• Obtain manual authorizations, follow accounting procedures and notify loss‑prevention/security of any theft reports.
• Coach, train and evaluate team members, uphold the Fair Treatment/Open Door policy and ensure safety compliance.
• Maintain a professional appearance, protect confidential information and answer telephone calls with proper etiquette.
• Use computers and POS systems to enter and locate information efficiently.
• Stand, sit or walk for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb without assistance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
