Duty Technician Electrician

About the role

Rixos Al Mairid is seeking a skilled and proactive Duty Electrical Technician to join its Engineering team. The role ensures seamless operation of the hotel’s electrical systems while delivering safe, efficient, and guest‑focused service in line with Rixos standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all electrical systems throughout the hotel complex, ensuring reliability and compliance with standards.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and technical issues, monitoring, troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment and installations to minimize downtime.
• Support emergency response procedures and guarantee full compliance with fire and life‑safety regulations at all times.
• Maintain workshop inventory, control stock of materials and ensure proper documentation in line with Rixos policies and ISO quality, health & safety, environmental and food‑safety standards.
• Participate in energy‑saving and sustainability initiatives and work collaboratively with all departments to ensure smooth hotel operations.

Required profile

• Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety procedures and preventive maintenance.
• Good English communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a multicultural team.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays and physical fitness for rescues and outdoor duties.
