EAL English Teacher – K-12 (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

The school is seeking an enthusiastic EAL English Teacher to deliver the American curriculum to K‑12 students in Abu Dhabi. You will work in a multicultural environment that blends modern education with traditional Islamic values.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver English lessons aligned with the U.S. Common Core standards.
• Adapt instruction for students requiring additional language support.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Arabic, Islamic studies and UAE Social Studies into the curriculum.
• Maintain effective classroom management and assess student progress.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development and school events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education (Kindergarten & Primary) or in the relevant subject (Middle & High).
• Minimum two years of teaching experience with the American curriculum.
• International teaching experience strongly preferred.
• Under 60 years of age (visa requirement).
• Ability to provide reference letters confirming qualifications.

Required skills

• Knowledge of U.S. Common Core English standards.
• Familiarity with next‑generation science standards and Virginia Curriculum.
• Strong classroom management techniques.

• Three‑year renewable contract with a salary of 12,000‑14,000 AED per month.
