Echo Technician – Cardio Vascular Technologist

About the role

The Cardio Vascular Technologist prepares patients and diagnostic equipment for echo procedures, explains the process to patients, and assists physicians in interpreting imaging data.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patients and set up diagnostic equipment for cardiovascular imaging procedures.
• Explain the procedure to patients and ensure their comfort and safety.
• Assist physicians in reviewing images and selecting those that need to be saved.
• Coordinate with the billing team and insurance staff to obtain necessary approvals.
• Follow departmental policies, MOH regulations, and continuous quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Maintain all procedure‑related records and monitor expiry dates of consumables.
• Provide patient care that minimizes medical errors and enhances safety.
• Update and monitor stock levels using the computerized inventory system.
• Report to the Cardiology Head of Department and liaise with Cath Lab staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor degree in Cardiac Technology (preferable).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cardiovascular imaging.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities.
• Good computer proficiency and communication skills.
• Customer‑service experience and high motivation.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and work with self‑discipline.
