Echo Technician – Cardiovascular Imaging

About the role

The Echo Technician joins the Cardiology department at NMC Healthcare in Sharjah, preparing patients and equipment for cardiovascular imaging procedures and supporting physicians in image interpretation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patients and diagnostic equipment for echo and other cardiovascular procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort and safety.
• Assist physicians in interpreting imaging data and determine which images to retain.
• Coordinate with the billing team and insurance staff to secure approvals and ensure smooth information flow.
• Maintain compliance with MOH regulations, departmental policies, and continuous quality‑improvement standards.
• Keep accurate procedure records and manage expiry of supplies according to policy.
• Update and monitor stock levels using the computerized inventory system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cardiac Technology (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a cardiovascular technologist.
• Strong organizational, planning and computer skills.
• Effective communication and customer‑service abilities.
• High motivation, self‑discipline and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Operation of cardiovascular imaging equipment.
• Proficiency with medical imaging software.
• Use of computerized inventory/stock management systems.
