Echo Technician – Cardiovascular

About the role

The Echo Technician – Cardiovascular provides patient‑centered cardiology diagnostic services for adult, paediatric and neonatal patients at American Hospital Dubai. Working under the guidance of Cardiology Consultants and following international clinical policies, the role ensures safe, accurate echocardiography and related tests.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic and comprehensive cardiology diagnostic procedures, including ECG, 2D‑4D echocardiography, Holter and blood pressure monitoring.
• Respond to emergencies and deliver BLS, ACLS or PALS support as required.
• Document all test results in the electronic medical record and prepare preliminary reports for consultant review.
• Maintain and calibrate cardiac monitoring equipment, report any malfunction, and ensure proper disinfection and disposal of supplies.
• Conduct patient assessments before, during and after each test, providing education on procedure indications and expectations.

Required profile

• Qualified and licensed clinical staff authorized to provide safe patient care.
• Strong organizational abilities to manage test schedules, equipment preparation and inventory.
• Excellent communication skills to report critical findings promptly to physicians.
