Economics Teacher

About the role

The British International School Abu Dhabi is looking for an enthusiastic Economics Teacher to join its vibrant international community. You will deliver the UK national curriculum, IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme, inspiring students of all ages and abilities to develop a deep understanding of economics.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess economics lessons across key stages, aligning with the UK curriculum, IGCSE and IB standards.
• Create engaging, differentiated resources that cater to diverse learner needs.
• Maintain high expectations for achievement and monitor student progress.
• Build positive relationships with parents and contribute to their involvement in student learning.
• Participate actively in extracurricular activities and school-wide events.

Required profile

• Passionate about teaching economics and committed to continuous professional development.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and students.
• Experience teaching the UK national curriculum; international experience is an advantage.
• Adaptable, open‑minded and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.
