E&I Estimator – EPC Tenders

About the role

The E&I Estimator prepares accurate, competitive and well‑qualified cost estimates for the electrical, instrumentation, control and telecom scopes of EPC/EPCC tenders for oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical and gas‑processing projects across the Middle East and North Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and verify quantity take‑offs from single‑line diagrams, cable schedules, instrument index, I/O lists, hook‑up drawings, cable routing, earthing and lighting layouts.
• Identify scope gaps, ambiguities and risks, and prepare technical queries and clarifications for the client.
• Develop detailed estimates for the entire electrical and instrumentation scope, building unit rates from first principles adjusted for Middle East conditions.
• Prepare manpower histograms, tools and test equipment requirements and durations, providing inputs to planning and site indirects.
• Manage tight tender timelines, often with several bids running in parallel, and price lump‑sum work with limited FEED.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering.
• 5–7 years of estimating experience in EPC oil & gas, refinery or petrochemical projects, with at least 3 years in the GCC.
• Hands‑on pricing of E&I scope for NOC tenders such as ADNOC, Saudi Aramco, QatarEnergy, PDO, KOC.
• Ability to handle scope splits between vendor packages, client free‑issue items and contractor scope.
